Regulations on the extension of the right to work by a foreigner on the basis of statements of the employer have been signed.
New regulations governing employment of foreigners on the basis of statements of employers registered at a District Labour Office were finally signed. We remind you that people who have visas valid until the end of 2010, are in any case required to obtain a valid residence permit after 31 December 2010, to be able to work legally.
“Minister of Labour and Social Policy Jolanta Fedak, 9 December 2010, signed:
– a regulation amending the regulation on the execution of work by foreigners without work permits;
– a regulation amending the regulation on the determination of cases in which a work permit is issued, regardless of the specific conditions for issuing work permits to a foreigner.
Regulations will come into power on publication day in the Journal of Laws.
The changes made it possible for the citizens of Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine to be able to work after 31 December 2010, on the condition of having a declaration of an employer, registered at a District Labour Office, to give work, to perform work without work permits or on the basis of permits issued using a simplified procedure. Regulations replace the existing laws, which will be validity until 31 December 2010.”
