Decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration dated 28 July 2010 on visas for foreigners

We would like to inform you that on the day of entry into force of the Decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration dated 28 July 2010 on visas for foreigners, the following changes occured:

1) codes of the aim of issuing Schengen visas and national visas on visa stickers:
The most important change occurred in the codes of visas for work purposes:
Former visa “D08”, which was issued in order to perform work has been replaced by the following codes:

“D05” – when the visa is issued to perform work in a period not exceeding six months within the next 12 months on the basis of the declaration of an intention to perform work, which is registered in the District Labour Office;
“D06” – when the visa is issued for the purpose of performing work as a driver performing international road transport;
“D07” – when the visa is issued to perform work on the basis of documents other than those referred to. Article 26 paragraph 1 item 5 of the Act or work other than that referred to in article 26 paragraph 1 item 6 of the Act;

WARNING! We remind that the performance of work under the employer’s declaration of an intention to give work to a foreigner is only valid until 31 December 2010. There are proceedings taking place to reform the regulations that would further facilitate work in Poland by foreigners from third countries with a common border with Poland.
*** In order to accurately familiarize with the changes in codes of purposes of issuing visas go to paragraph 2 item 2 and 3 of the Regulation.

2) recording the acceptance of an application for a visa:
§ 5
1. Acceptance of the application for a national visa is recorded in the travel document to the first free page, intended for a visa.
2. The consul notes the acceptance of an application for a visa by the date stamp and stamp the appropriate seal.

3) recording cancellation or revocation of a visa:
§ 8.
The decision to cancel or revoke a Schengen visa or a national visa national is done by the consul, the minister responsible for foreign affairs, the commanding officer of the Border Guard outpost or the commanding officer of the Border Guard unit by recording this fact in the travel document, the Polish identity document of a foreigner or on a separate visa sheet by placing a seal containing the type and number of the decision , the legal basis of its issue and a signature of authorized person and date stamp, or by the endorsement containing the type and number of the decision, the legal basis for its issue and a signature of authorized person and a date stamp.
